First, we will focus on the fundamentals of proper technique: posture, breathing and vowel shaping. These elements will be reinforced with powerful vocal exercises, including scales to both determine your vocal range, and to get an indication of your pitch accuracy. The second part of the lesson is spent applying the fundamentals to a song of your choice (with an instrumental available on YouTube)

We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable and safe place to sing. We disinfect microphone & all other “high touch” items, in between each student, and ask the student (and no more than one guest), to wear a mask & use the hand sanitizer located directly in front of studio door. The student & coach will remain 6 feet apart during the lesson and both will be able to comfortably remove their masks to sing, as there will be a clear acrylic “sneeze guard” stand in place.
This depends on several factors, but what is most important is that the student practice daily. Singing is a physical process and it is important to develop vocal “muscle memory” to sing better, and more efficiently over time. It is best to practice without interruptions, and to practice with specific goals in mind. In general, students should aim to put in a solid 25-30 minutes of practice daily. For students who seek to become singing professionals or who have taken voice lessons for several years, practice can last an hour or more.
